Anyone know of anyone with a VAG-COM diagnostic set up in Waterford City? I have a dead Audi which needs an immobiliser fault clearing.

I tried Trevor Madigan but his phone seems to on permanent voice mail.

Yep, battery low charge so I attempted to recharge but no good, I took it out fitted new one and immobiliser light on dash now flashing away (should show and then go off after a second) engine turns over but will not fire.

    Try This.
Switch on ignition, and leave switched on for 15 minutes, then try starting again. Usually works.

Did the key come apart at any stage?
Do a quick check of the fuses as well.

I've been in touch with a chappie who knows about this sort of thing and the key probably needs resynching or recoding.
