    Hi folk,

Just looking for some clarity if possible.

Flying Dublin to New York return on DL164/5 in July.

It says there is Wifi on board. Is this a free service or an additional charge once boarded?

Their website doesn't seem to clarify!

WiFi is only available on internal US flights not transatlantic and on the off chance it is available in parts of the flight theres a charge

(Was on a few 752 delta flights in March - transatlantic had no wifi / IFE system while the internal flights had both!)

I did SNN -JFK on their 757-200. IFE (seat back) was very good. No Wi-Fi and we had a disaster with their Website booking system regarding Baby basinetts. The ticket said basinett requested and were available on a first come basis - great. We arrived in SNN to find out that basinnetts are not available on transatlantic 757's (and never were) so a nighmare 7.5 hours out and 6.20 back with a 10 month old.

They are now using an A330, maybe this has baby bassinets. The EI ones do.

The A330 is only being used on the ATL/DUB route for the summer season

On some TATL planes equipped with Wi-Fi (I think PMNW 752s do) the crew can turn it on when they're in range of signal - i.e. when they're over Canada. Think along the lines of B6/DL/CO having LiveTV on their planes, and are only available when in range of the USA (this happens on the South America flights, SJC, SXM, etc. etc.)

    The DL164 flight today was a 757-200.
