I'm looking for a bit of advice on how to treat some rust on the window frame of my car. It's a Volvo s40 '02.

What would be the proper paint to use? How should I treat it before painting?
Will using a brush leave it looking rough? anyway around this?

    Thanks.

You will need to sand of the rust with P240 sand paper
Use a aerosol anti rust primer. then get the colour code
of the car, get the paint mixed up in a aerosol can.
Vinnybyrne.com specialise in supplying this type of stuff,
they will give you good advice to.
