Quality of Man U Jersey?

Mods, PLEASE allow my own thread on this issue - it will get lost in both the Man U thread and the Jersey thread and it's a very quick question - it's something I've aslo put in Consumer Issues and they have suggested I put it here.

So bought the Man U jersey for the little fella on day of release, last Friday, 3rd June. He wore it for 2 hrs and the next day, I had to bring it back to X store for exchange, because there was a load of 'pulled threads' in it. the very nice staff member exchanged the 42euro jersey, no prob. I brought it to another store to get his name and number on (as they didn't do printing in first store) for an extra 10euro (he had gotten the 'free' football with the orig jersey). So the very nice bloke in the shop told me not to wash it for 3 days because of the new print.

He wore it for the full day (saturday) but it's been in the wash basket since as I've been terrifed to wash it until yesterday. Washed it yesterday, he wore it for 3 hours after school today and a LOAD MORE pulls in the jersey and a few threads hanging out.

I have last years jersey and (apart from the drama of the blue collar from the first wash!!), there were never any problems. He just wears it while playing footie in various fields.
So any of you had similar issues with the new jersey? Should I go back to the shop or write to the manufacturer as it seems that the new material is quite sh!te. His surname and age is printed on the back now, so I'm guessing they might have an issue with exchange.

No comments about Man U or the quality of their jerseys reflecting their football etc as the mods will delete. Cheers:)

You already posted in the right forum (consumer issues), there's no point posting it here.

You got the child's surname on the jersey? Ew.

Get the little fella to change teams, buy him a liverpool jersey (same colour) and he wont tell the difference . Problem sorted.

Im posting here because there is little traffic in the ci forum and someone advised that I should post here.

This isn't the right forum for this, it's a consumer issue and belongs there. For what it's worth I would definitely bring it back to the shop and complain and I wouldn't be leaving until it was replaced.
