I understand that UCD has 8 clinical placement sites for its BSc Diagnostic Radiography course that are located nationwide.

Does anyone know the hospitals where the placements are done?

I know these 7 for definite, not sure about the eighth one.

The Dublin hospitals are St.Vincent's, St.James', Beaumont, Mater
Then Limerick , Cork and Galway

Tallaght is the other Dublin one.. Most people try and go for Vincents because it's right beside campus (compared to the others) but Vincents equipment is very up-to-date, so you don't need to do as much.. In otherwords, you'd be better off getting better training in one of the other hospitals.. The general consensus is that Beaumont is the best.. You'll see alot of interesting cases.. It's the National Neurological Centre so lots of road crash victims come through CT.. Plus your run-of-the-mill stabbings, etc.. Even in first year, they let you scrub in and go to theatre :) ..the Regional hospitals have three students in them.. People seem to prefer to stay in Dublin for that reason.. Even if the other hospitals are nearer to your home.. Anyways, you just asked for names, not an essay so byyyyyee :) Any questions, fire away!
