I've been looking at leash doublers, do they work well? Any recommendations for two small dogs?

i use the lead estension to walk my two on one lead, it has two hoops on either end and an O in the middle, it is like an upsidedown Y when you put the lead and it together, i use an extending lead on to it, it works like a dream, they get used of being together on lead very fast, and you have one hand free, no such thing as two leads getting tangled

You could try one of these http://www.mollys.ie/2-way-dog-couplers.html Halti does something similar too but the halti one is lenght adjustable. http://www.petscorner.co.uk/dogs/collars-leads/double-dog-coupler

I got one lately after we got our third dog and it's brilliant. It cost €2.91 delivered from eBay! On my phone now so can't post pic but have some in the pet pic thread from the weekend.

Def recommend getting one. No idea why I didn't before this.

They definitely work. I have one for my two JRT's (one of whom is slightly bigger than the other) and they took to it from day 1.

I use a training lead for 2 Westies, like this one here

Basically opens up to have 1 clip at either end, then just hold the lead in the middle

I use a chain type extension thingy...one end clips on to each of their collars and the lead clips onto the top.
Had my two on it since they were a few weeks old. But even if theyre on separate leads now they have to walk side by side. It's funny.

What about if you're walking different size dogs? Is there a different type of coupler?

The Halti coupler is made for walking dogs of different sizes or dogs that are the same size. Its adjustable for your needs.
