    According to AA roadwatch...

Branch right, then merge onto the N7
At Junction 3 continue forward onto Naas Road - N7 (signposted Limerick, The South)M7
At Junction 9 continue forward onto the M7 motorway (signposted Limerick)N80
Leave the M7 at junction 17, then at roundabout take the 4th exit onto the N80 (signposted Carlow, Tullamore)
Continue forward onto Abbeyleix Road - N80 Entering Port Laoise
At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Abbeyleix Road - N80
At Abbeyleix Road roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Abbeyleix Road - N80 (signposted Tullamore)
At Market Square roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N80 (signposted Tullamore)
    Arrive on the N80

You assume he is driving a car.

A coach and four would take considerably longer,if you include a stop for hay in Newbridge.

About an hour, give yourself an hour and a half and you'll have plenty of time.
