Boot to CD on Windows ME !

Ok this is for the older guys here

I have an old system that's running windows ME - its used by the kids to play games etc. I also have a genuine copy of XP upgrade that I want to install on the system.

The CD is bootable & the CD drive is working fine, problem is that when I get the 'do you want to boot from CD' prompt, the keyboard wont let me enter anything. I suspect its because the keyboard is USB & Win ME doesn't see it at that stage.

Apart from changing to an older keyboard, does anyone know of a way to override the settings & automatically boot from CD ?

Go into BIOS and look for an option to enable USB Legacy or similar - I'm not sure that the option will be there but it may be .

Bios may not let you in using USB keyboard either.
