Two old watches. Worth repairing or any value?

Was given two old watches by my grandad to find out if there was any value in them or if they are worth repairing. I've attached pictures of the two of them. Would appreciate any opinions on them.

    Thanks

P.s. I know absolutely nothing about them.
P.p.s Sorry if the pics aren't great.

I suspect they are probably not worth very much as very few are, your best bet at the moment would be to find some pocket watch specialists as quite often people who collect pocket watches don't collect wrist watches and vice versa, its definitely a fairly specialised area. RLT watches has its own pocket watch subforum.

You will need to take better pictures though and they will probably want to see a picture of the movement, you never know you might get lucky, or even if they are not worth much you may be able to pass them on for a modest sum to a person who would use them.

Sorry, I left out that they don't work:o. Don't know whether it's just battery gone or what. Would prefer to not see them go to waste if they could be repaired,

If they have a battery (quartz) then they may be worthless, in genral quartz wouldnt be as well respected as mechanical, and a battery left for a long time may corrode and they would be useless. If they are mechanical then if your lucky they may just need a clean and oiling and they are good to go. I stiill stand by finding some people that are specialists in that area though

They look a bit too old to be quartz :D

In the second pic the watch on the left even seems to have what looks like an aperture for the winding key on the watchface.
That looks proper old ...proper rusted as well though, sadly

Appreciate the advice lads. Anyone know anywhere around Athlone/Roscommon that could do something with them?
