Macbook pro 13" 2011 problem

Hi, I am looking for some advice on how to deal with Apple. I bought a 13" Macbook pro in April and have had quite a bit of trouble with it. It froze, was slow and eventually stopped working after a month. I repeatedly rang Applecare and was finally told to bring it back to the store. The tech in the store told me that the hardrive was corrupt and replaced it. All was going well until last week when it died again. I rang Applecare again and was told to bring it back, it turns out the harddrive is yet again corrupted.
I requested from Apple that they replace my MBP but they have refused and want to repair it again. I am not happy with this as I feel there is something wrong with the actual machine. They told me if it happens again they will replace it. I had a Macbook air previously and in two years had to ring Applecare once, I have been on the phone to them eight tims since I got the last one.
Any ideas would be gratefully received
    Regards
    Lil:confused:

Hard drives are very unreliable generally, especially in portables with all the moving around, etc. It's just the nature of the technology. I think you've just been unlucky. Unless you've had other issues to justify a replacement, I'd recommend letting them replace the hard drive again. It's usually upon the third repair that you should demand and get a replacement.

Alternatively, ask to speak to a superior and make your case to them. Did you buy it from Apple?

Sounds more like your HDD cable is faulty. very common on these machines.

Thanks for your replies, I did not buy it direct from Apple but from a shop that is authorised by them. I am not sure whether I can give the shop's name here. I am very happy with the way the shop is treating me, their customer service is excellent, and they are doing all they can to help me.
After speaking to Applecare again they are not budging and will only replace the harddrive. I have given the tech in the store the go ahead to replace it. It looks as though I will have to back up frequently when I get it back, as I have no confidence in the machine.

Sorry for the delay in answering as I have had to borrow a laptop for the moment.

You should ALWAYS make frequent backups. The machine makes no difference.

Anyway, I hope you get this sorted. Let us know how you get on.
