    It doesn't matter.

Focus on Paper 2 and stop wasting your time analysing the paper.

I'm not even going to say because it's completely irrelevant to how it will be marked. No point comparing sizes, boys ;)

    8

It should be around about what you should be aiming for, writing more doesn't mean you'll get a better grade. Writing more means a bigger chance you wrote a load of waffle.

My writing is massive, and messy. So this isn't really comparable to everyone.
But I did 4 on question A. Two and a half on B. And about six and a half on my essay.
    But its quality, not quantity.

    Question A:

    (i) 1 1/4
    (ii)1 1/4
    (ii)1 1/2

    Question B:

    2 1/6

    Short story:

    7 4/5

 But noone can compare because nobody knows my writing size.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 181 ✭✭ChristinaIndigo

    14 pages in total....

I know it could end up seeming like waffle, but, I'm known for writing way too much. Still usually end up with good grades though, so, hopefully it does still seem like quality...

    My poor examiner though.. :o

EDIT: Writing is average sized too by the way.... feeling less convinced about it being quality though, the more people that say they only wrote about 7/8....

Did anybody else think that was a **** paper. I thought it was the worst they've ever written..essay titles were awful! I fell in the waffle trap anyway!

Nah I liked it. Comprehensions were grand, I really liked number 3, it was quite interesting.

And there was enough variety in the essays....a mystery is a fairly basic short story, the modern fairytale is a bit more tricky, I'll admit. I didn't look at any of the others but apparently there was an essay on technology which would seem handy enough too.

Went through so many booklets that they had to cut down the trees outside and turn it into paper immdeiately.

I was also writing so fast that i set the script and table on fire a couple of times.

I think you're the only one. Most people think it was the easiest paper yet. I'd say I will be lucky to get a C though.

Most of my year thought it was fairly awkward. I only read one comprehension (the tight-rope walker) and it wasn't that bad but the section B's weren't great. For anyone who has a more formal/analytical style of writing thay didn't suit too much. I don't know too much about mystery films either. The essay titles were "interesting" to put it mildly.

liked the texts but hated the essay titles! thankfully q7 was nice and vague!

About 1.25 each for the first two parts of QA, 1.5 for the second, 2 for QB and 6, or maybe 7 for the essay. It is quality over quantity though, and writing size can have a huge bearing on it, especially on the longer answers.

Comprehension - 3ish pages Could have gone onto the fourth page, can't quite remember.
Question B - Almost two pages. Very big writing :(

    This!!!

Plus, given that everybody's writing is different, comparing is pointless anyway.
