Fake scotty cameron

    Bought a scotty cameron newport 2 off ebay for 115 and recieved it only to notice it was a fake. is there any use for it now knowing its a fake

    There is use for it if it works for you. Why not just take it out & play a few rounds with it.

    If its rubbish then you put it down to experience & learn your lesson thinking you're getting a too good to be true price on ebay

    Have you started a dispute with Ebay asking for a refund. If they claimed it was a Scotty Cameron but it isn't then complain and ask for your money back.

    +1. Ebay are pretty baised towards buyers so if you start a dispute you have a decent chance of getting your money back. Make sure you have copies emails sent to the seller asking for a refund before opening a dispute

    Did you pay with paypal. Very good chance of getting your money back from them also.

    Don't attempt to trade it in.

    Believe it or not a Titleist retailer is obliged to seize the putter as it's an illegal piece of equipment.

    Whether they would or not is a different matter but the manufacturers take fake products very seriously. A guy I know (and no it wasn't me) was down this road a few years ago in relation to a dodgy set of Callaway irons.
