Christian came to the ring for a promo. He said he was screwed out of the World Hvt. Championship. He said he doesn't want to talk to any of his Peeps again. The "You Suck" chants started. Christian invited Michael Cole to join him in the ring and then proceeded to bitch about deserving another title shot. He ripped Teddy Long, and said Long and Randy Orton disrespected him.
Ezekiel Jackson and The Uso Brothers defeated Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater. One of the Uso's went right into the announce table and the whole arena could hear it. Good tag work from Corre with a classic wrestling feel. Zeke dominated and Barrett headed back to the locker room. Zeke put Gabriel in the rack for the win.
Teddy Long was shown talking on the phone. Sheamus demanded a match with Christian. Instead, Long booked Randy Orton vs. Sheamus in a No DQ match and said it was going to be huge.
Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater told Wade Barrett that The Corre is finished.
Jinder Mahal defeated Trent Barreta. Great Khali helped Jinder get the win.
A.J. defeated Tamina. The crowd got behind A.J. while Tamina was dominating. A.J. hit a flying knee. Tamina had her up for a move, but A.J. caught her in a small package for the win.
Randy Orton came to the ring and called out Christian, who appeared on TitanTron and said he wants his title match. Christian says he does things on his own terms, and he wants the match at Capitol Punishment. Orton said the match is on. Christian left in a vehicle while Orton stood in the ring with his title belt. Good crowd pops for Orton.
Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase appeared on the big screen. Cody said he's not nuts, he's been enlightened.
Sin Cara defeated Ted DiBiase by DQ. There were some great moves, but bad spots by DiBiase. Cody's interference led to the DQ. Daniel Bryan came out to save Sin Cara. Teddy Long came out and turned it into a tag match.
Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan defeated Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. Sin Cara was on fire at one point. He hit a flying cross body block through the ropes. Daniel Bryan locked in the LeBell Lock for the win.
Johnny Curtis cut a promo. He ate a potato chip and that was it. Seriously.
Sheamus defeated Randy Orton in a non-title, no disqualification match. Late in the match, Orton hit a wild backdrop onto the ring steps. Amazing spot. Sheamus pulled out a kendo stick and hit Orton with it five times. Orton hit the RKO on Sheamus. Christian ran out and ended up hitting Orton with the title belt. Sheamus ended up covering Orton for the win.
Afterward in what may have been after the cameras stopped rolling, Christian held up Orton. Sheamus went for a kick, but Orton ducked and Sheamus caught Christian with the kick. Orton RKO'd Sheamus. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase ran out and took RKO's. Orton spent a lot of time with the fans afterward, which was nice to see.

Another win for Danielson and Christian is fully heel, sounds like another good SD!

I'm glad he's fully heel there was a bit of a confusion about that for me last week.Nice that Sheamus picked up the W which plants the seeds for a title shot in the future for him,I hope.Looks like a good show too.

Really sounds like a good Smackdown. Was dubious whether it would be any good at the time of the draft but it has been comfortably better than Raw the last few weeks

SD is on a roll, the Sin Cara tag and the steps spot in the Seamus match sound must see.

Seems SD could be entering another great period that focuses on just good classic wrestling matches and storylines.

    Who's booking SD these days?

Bar a few rough patches, SD has been in a state of greatness for quite some time now (as in many years).

As far as I know, Stephanie is still the head of the booking team, Michael 'PS' Hayes writes most of the show, and Pat Patterson is assistant consultant.

But of course everything goes through Vince before it makes it onto screen

I thought Hunter was also involved

They just need to take the IC belt off Wade and maybe put on Bryan or Cody

Simply putting the belt on someone else won't do anything. The IC title is a completely meaningless prop that's used merely to elevate some new guy. So unless WWE starts putting alot of effort into building and maintaining an actual intercontinental division who cares who has the strap?

I'll also add that I'm just happy the IC title is around someone's waste who is in a proper feud. It's way too common now that the midcard champ just faces random people with no motivation...

    Wrong again, Smackdown spoilers!

I liked that a lot, actually. It's bordering what They're doing with R-Truth and Christian but he's a lot more interesting now than he was on NXT.

I'd love it if they kept the segments going for a few more weeks until you just see Curtis in the background of someone's promo flogging a dead horse. It's kind of what I wanted for Lucky Cannon with someone who's all happy and smiley insisting they're okay when they're clearly not. So desperate and sad.

    This basically. ;)

Very good show again. They really are building a great main event feud. Sin Cara/Danielson v Legacy has great potential as well. I'm very happy with Smackdown, other than I'd like to see the IC Title treated a bit better.

Last year SD have some decent feuds and matches for the IC title with the likes of Ziggler, Christian, Swagger and Kofi. I think even an IC title match main evented on SD. I think Wade lost any momentum he had when he went to SD and just let Punk take over Nexus on Raw, he is an awful champion one of the worst imo. Cody and Bryan as a singles feud with the IC title could be great both deserve a push and reign imo.

One thing I would add is that they need to have both guys being clear they are feuding over the title. Not that it is a feud where one guy happens to have a title, but where the title is rarely mentioned. Christian/Orton is an example of how to have a feud where the title feels important.

I think any heat/momentum Wade had was killed stone dead when he 'retired' Cena and Cena didn't miss one week of TV.Poor auld Wade has been on life support ever since booking/credability wise.He need's an out and out feud with someone credible and without any faction interference if he has any chance of getting himself over again.

Really have been enjoying SD! lately,Raw has been a distant third behind Impact imo.

Actually watched this Smackdown, first time watching since the Christian title loss (which I've still not forgiven them for). Really enjoyed the show though. It was the Bryan/Cara/DiBiase/Rhodes match which encouraged me to watch and I enjoyed it. I hate the "I'm driving away" segment though, since THEY ALWAYS RETURN after it -_-

And what was with the silent family van he was driving? Christian should be rolling in a Lambo or something.

Nice to see AJ on TV again, always thought she was very cute. Crowd seemed to be getting behind her too though that could have been edited!

    Good Smackdown.

Christian was great. Randy and Sheamus looked good in the main event and in their promos/backstage segments.

Cara Bryan team would be great if WWE used a tag division.

I like the Uso's, I like the way Jimmy dances like Rikishi. I wonder if having Booker T say he trained them will see them getting a pit more of a push.

Is Jinder Mahal a Del Rio rip off or what? I could do without Khali on Smackdown but I can't have everything.

    Oh, that reminds me...

The bodyslam onto the steps was sick. Amazing and shocking all at once.

How long do they intend to sell that Rhodes ever had a facial injury? I mean the least they could have was paint the see-through mask so that it was somewhat plausible.
Seriously its gettin old now, correction: it IS old now

Anyway, Christian turning heel made it a good SD

watched the whole thing in 3 15ish minute segments on SD which is handy so ill probably keep doings so cos it was a great show tbh.

Ya those vids are edited well so well you miss Khali entirely! But you miss chunks of the christian sheamus fight such as the kendo stick stuff. Worth your while checking out the longer videos just for that
