Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Taken from NRA Circular No. 20/2010

All National and EU Publicity Signage in relation to the NDP, 2000-2006 should be removed. All T21 Signage for schemes completed more than six months should be removed.....

NDP Publicity Billboards/Publicity Signage, in accordance with the NDP, 2007-2013 Identity Guidelines, must remain in place for the period of the NDP or at least 3 years subsequent to the completion of the project, whichever is the later date. Wherever possible, Publicity Billboards/Publicity Signage must be replaced by a permanent commemorate plaque.....

Please ensure that before signs are removed, photographic evidence of the signs is taken and retained for safe keeping as schemes will be subject to audit, by both national and EU institutions up to 2015 for the 2000-2006 Programmes and 2025 for the 2007-2013 Programmes, in accordance with provisions of national and EU Regulations. (Adherence to ‘EU Publicity Requirements’ forms an integral part of an audit and failure to comply can carry a financial penalty).....

Most of them will fall down. There are signs near me that have been up years. No sign they are coming down anytime soon. In my opinion, they are visual pollution at this stage.

I agree with the above. They're superfluous.

    The NRA agree with you!

Also from NRA Circular No. 20/2010

Given the current budgetary constraints, the reduced levels of funding generally and the many competing demands for funding it has now been agreed with the Department of Finance and the Department of Transport that there is no longer a strict requirement in relation to the erection of NDP and T21 Publicity Billboards/Publicity Signage and that it is a matter for the National Roads Authority (the Authority) to decide on the necessity and appropriateness of such signs on a case by case basis.
