Before you blow your wad I would find a non competitor who is successful and pay them for advice.

Not sure where you are based but try your Local Enterprise Board first for advice and available training.

The restaurant sector can be difficult, dependent on offering, location etc so find out why the other business did not make it and if it closed due to trading problems, work out why you would make it viable when they could not.

Andrew, you need to talk with a solicitor (advocate) and an accountant. They'll be able to inform you of their charges and give you some advice. Many of them will do a first consultation for free.

Health inspectors work for the HSE and can be contacted through the local office. You won't however, need to talk to a health inspector unless you can get access to the building you seek to rent. At that point he / she can tell you what you need to know.
