    Hey everyone,

We know there's a topic here already by the name of "Dublin Zombie Walk" but we just wanted to come on here and start an official thread telling you all about the upcoming plans for the 2011 Dublin Zombie Walk!

I'm sure you're all as excited as we are about the Dublin Zombie Walk and you're all getting ready for the moaning, shuffling hordes coming your way!

Just to tell you all thank you so much because currently on the Facebook group we have over 3,000 members and on the Facebook event we have 2,829 attending and rising everyday! Not bragging, just saying!

We've also placed an application to the Guinness book of records.

"Guinness officially recognized a new record for the world's largest gathering of zombies on October 30th, 2010 at the 3rd annual New Jersey Zombie Walk on the Asbury Park Boardwalk in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Guinness recorded 4,093 zombies at the event, though organizers along with police and fire officials estimate more than 5,000 zombies were in attendance."

So with some luck and lots of zombies we can have a go at breaking this record.

    Walk Details:
The walk will start at 2pm. Everyone will be gathering in St. Stephens Green and leave through the Leeson Street entrance with the walk ending in Temple bar at the Button Factory. There will be lots of makeup artists there so don't worry if you can't get zombified at home. Since this is a charity event in aid of the Irish Cancer Society & The RNLI there will be a limited supply of makeup so make sure to come early.

We will also have a number of Stewards on the walk. This would be the perfect role for all the Zombie Survivalists on here! If you'd like to assume the role of steward feel free to mail us on info@Dulinzombiewalk.com.

All photographers and videographers are more than welcome and we will do whatever we can to get you the best shots on the day. Please remember that without videos and photos from the walk it's really nothing but a rumour so make sure to really good to us and send them as this year we are producing a DZW Calendar with the help of 4pm Design.

    Button Factory after Party:

We'll also be having a massive after party in the Button Factory. Lots of great acts lined up for the night.

Major Irish band lined up and we'll be announcing the details soon!

The Sedition Girls with be performing a series of extra special gorelesque shows for us on the night. Lots of blood, lots of shocks and lots of looking through your hands!

Contact Jugglers, Fire breathers, close up magicians, stilt walkers and more!

Dublin Zombie Walk T-shirts and Badges with our very own Rianne Rowlands logo

    Zombie Cupcakes by Kestrel Carrol!!

We have loads more planned for the after party with lots more details to come.

Thank you all again and see you on the 23rd of July at the worlds largest ever zombie walk!

    DZW Team
