There is now some movement afoot regarding a gay girl in Syria:

    http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/meast/06/07/syria.blogger.missing/index.html?hpt=hp_c1

....and lo and behold she's been "kidnapped". I'm wondering if her kidnappers have been given Viagra (like Gaddafi's goons) to better rape her.
Whatever happened to "Where is Raed" or Salam Pax...the Baghdad blogger who allegedly watched scores of his countrymen blown to mincemeat but still begged for fcuking Burger King to be erected in town. What about those moronic stories delivered by some dimwitted Kuwaiti girl who claimed to witness Iraqi soldiers dumping infants out of incubators only for it to be later revealed that she was never even in the damn country!

Now we have this crap.....a girl who is gay????
Any chance of, say, helping all those 10 year-old Thai and Filipinas who suck dick down back streets for a bag of rice?

Yep! Let's invade a country because a lesbian is being persecuted!!! And you know something.....people swallow this crap.
We have some hysterical woman on TV claiming to have been raped by Gadaffi's men......lo and behold.....BOMB LIBYA!!! Not a word about a girl who is stoned to death in front of her family in Saudi Arabia for wearing mascara though.
You gotta love the propaganda machine.

I've been in Thailand, beautiful country, but your dead right, I had a girl ask me if I wanted a BJ for 50bath(€1), I declined but spoke to the girl and told her this isn't right, she replied like I knew she would, that she had no choice, it wasn't plain english as that but I can interpret what she was trying to say and I gave her 5,000 bath (€100) to go home and not ask anybody the same thing for a few days or however long it lasted, but you see Thailand govt and the west have long strings that travel far, they claim to clamp down on it and they do to a certain extent, I won't hide my intentions going there, it was for sex and sex only at the start, but soon I realised these people need help, and I tried my best to help, I have western union reciepts to prove when I got home I sent over €3,000 back that I promised I would and I did to 2 girls I met.

Another girl was being arrested for illegal selling of beer from a styrofoam box of ice and it cost me 2,000bath to stop the girl being arrested, another girl I made false witness to get her off with a charge of stabbing a pervert from Norway, she stabbed him alright, but I went to pattaya police station and said I saw him slap her and drag her into his room, she was freed because of my statement, he was a perv and tried to put it up her backside and she didn't want it, I asked my thai friend to ask her what had happened as I was unsuccesful getting her past security.

But to be honest, nobody gives a fukk about these people till they need to use something for gain, if tomorrow some western power needs a leg up it will use what it has ignored for generations to claim it's right to liberate such people, yet Pattaya was built on horny GI's on leave from Vietnam.

I really don't know where this story is leading to, but all in all, they don't give a fukk about anybody if the leaders are compliant with U.S. national security.

Looks like she does not even exist. Some one has tripped up.

Reporters have been unable to find anyone who has met Amina Arraf in person, while a woman living in Britain said photographs circulating on the internet were of her, not the blogger.
However, Jelena Lecic claims Arraf stole her identity and has been using it for more than a year.
It calls into question reports that Arraf was detained after weeks on the run in the Syrian capital. The only source of this information was a blog post purportedly written by Arraf's cousin Rania Ismail
In February, an American blogger named Paula Brooks began communicating with Arraf via email but became suspicious when her IP address was traced back to Edinburgh in Scotland
Media have been scouring records for confirmation that Arraf exists and have also been trying to confirm biographical information found in her blog, but have come up empty. No one, including the US State Department, has been able to confirm her arrest.
An activist with the Local Co-ordination Committees asserted on Tuesday that Arraf was taken. The activist spoke on condition of anonymity, fearing retribution from the regime.

On Wednesday, the same activist said the group had "no independent confirmation" and had reported it based on the cousin's blog entry, and from two people who claimed to be friends but who also got the information from the blog.
In the blog, Arraf says she was born in Virginia.

AP reporters tried to track down family and friends there. They found no public records with her name or her parents' names, nor evidence they were there.

Wow! Nice find, shocked but not surprised. I for one am so sick of these creatures in the media working hand in hand with crooked elements within the intelligence agencies and government to fool people into supporting death and destruction.

Did anyone watch this short documentary? It shows exactly how they do it.

Yeah, commiting human rights abuses against minority groups is exactly the same as having a sex trade due to poverty.

They are both awful, awful situations. I don't see how invading Thailand would do anything to improve the welfare of people who are forced into sex work, but intervening in a country where the regime in power actively persecutes LGBTQ people could help. It's obviously not as simple as that, but they're vastly different situations.

That said; this could be a bunch of propaganda, as it's clearly an emotive issue it'd be a natural choice if you were going to make something up. If it turns out that the story is fake, I wouldn't be hugely surprised.

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy and double-standards here. The West smears this bogus crap across the papers and tv screens to make out like they're some kind of virtuous crusaders fighting the good fight for the little person, for the weak, for the vulnerable yet being gay in Saudi Arabia is a criminal offence and they don't say boo! You're not allowed to buy land in Israel if you are Arab and they don't say boo! If you are from the lowest caste in India you are only allowed to get food from the fücking municipal dump....and they don't say boo!
In fact many nutjob politicians and religious freaks in America advocate that gays be exterminated, that they are an "abomination" .... the kind of talk that should land your ass in jail and still they don't say shït!

And of course the story's fake just like that Gadaffi viagra nonsense. Give me viagra so I've got a dick like an iron bar and I'm still not going to rape anyone. I'll beg some woman to shag me or I'll pound my cock myself. It's as absurd as suggesting that Gadaffi deprived his troops of sleep and had them constantly subjected to recordings of wailing babies so they would then go out and kill kids. Utterly preposterous.

That's fair enough. I was merely pointing out you can't equate sex work in South East Asia to persecution of sexual minorities.

I'm not equating them. Far from it. What I AM railing against is that the West and NATO are using this miserable tale about a fictitious lesbian in Syria being persecuted to get a rise out of people and sway them. Yet those self same authorities don't say a word about paedophilia, slavery or persecution in other countries because it doesn't serve their agenda. Ergo, they couldn't give a fück, they just pump this crap out in an effort to stoke outrage.

Amina Arraf, the "Gay Girl in Damascus" who sent the world into a frenzy after she was reportedly kidnapped by Syrian security forces, has been outed as a 40-year-old American man

MacMaster, from the US state of Georgia, is a Middle East peace activist who has been studying for a masters degree at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is reportedly on vacation in Turkey with his girlfriend

Israeli actor in anti-Gaza Flotilla pinkwashing video identified

Submitted by Benjamin Doherty on Sat, 06/25/2011 - 13:03
Who you get in bed with- human rights, gay rights

The disillusioned “gay activist” called “Marc” who appeared in a YouTube video condemning the Gaza Freedom Flotilla for alleged homophobia, that was tweeted by the Israeli Government Press Office, has been identified as an Israeli called Omer Gershon.
This definitely proves that the video is either a hoax or a piece of propaganda designed to discredit the flotilla and use a mask of concern for gay rights to pinkwash Israel and justify the persecution of Palestinians in Gaza.
Last night The Electronic Intifada confirmed that one of the first people to tweet the video was Guy Seemann, a staffer in the office of the Israeli prime minister.
The following images clearly identify Gershon by his face and tattoos.

Gershon, as an Israeli, could not possibly have been so naive as “Marc” claimed to be in the video about either the flotilla or the situation in Gaza. It is puzzling that a piece of propaganda that was meant to pass as the genuine work of an activist previously uninformed about the situation in Palestine would use a figure who is fairly well-known in the Israeli gay scene.
Gershon has been profiled in leading Israeli publications such as Haaretz, Maariv and Ynet (here and here).
A 2008 report gave his age as 33 and said he lived in Tel Aviv. Gershon was described as a “producer, entrepreneur, and PR manager for clubs.” Gershon says he went to school in New York where he got a degree in marketing and advertising at the age of 25 and lived there for almost four years. He also said he had volunteered for IGY (the youth LGBT organization in Israel) and a women’s rights org called “Ladies Circle.”
In 2011, he appeared in a promotional video for XL Energy Drink featuring a man beating a Muslim woman.

Questions still remain about who commissioned the “Marc” video and the role of the Israeli government in disseminating it. Is this official Israeli government propaganda?
