I have been in my current job (large multi-national) for 6 years and have 10 years management experience, 3 years in senior management.

Currently getting "itchy feet" and feel I need a new challenge. Basically what i need to know is how can I advertise my CV and can I keep myself anonymous as my current employer uses recruitment sites to advertise vacancies.
    Thanks:)

Do you have a LinkedIn account and is it full to the brim of good stuff about you?
I would start adding in recruitment agency type people, always good to get your name out.
How about contacting recruit agencies directly. would you consider going out contracting ?

Thanks, what do you mean by contracting?

As in not a permenant job, just a fixed month contract for a specific task.

    http://www.computerjobs.ie/browse-jobs/project-manager/contract/
    (for example)

Gives you a bit of a challange in that you will be in a new company dealing with new stuff every few months usually

    Sounds interesting.
I would need to match what i'm earning now.
    Thanks for the link.

Feel a bit guilty considering leaving current job when so many unemployed.

Oh thats a very big question that you will need to answer for yourself before you move. As you said there are alot of people unemployed. Contracting has gotten alot worse in the past few years, in some sectors i have heard that it is starting to get better again, but there is a possibility that you get a 3 month contract at twice what you are earning now... but then but completely out of work.

I hope that a few others reply to this post to get a different view.
