You wont go too far wrong with the 390 but really I'm only replying to your post as I saw farmtrac advertised for serious value too, I saw a dealer advertising pronar tractors(had never heard of them before) so would be wonder the same as you

Anything else around that might not have the brand recognition that a lad should know about

Perkins engine and Dromone Hitch are the only 2 good points of them. I have 2 neighbours with them - grand tractor if you're only putting 200 hours on them per year. But if you want something to do a bit of work then they will break your heart. Oil leaks, gearbox problems, one guy had a front wheel fall off because the bearing went after 300 hours. Lift arm snapped, cab fell apart. They are poorly built, simple as!!

Neighbour paid €19000 for his in 2005 or 2006. He tried to trade it last year for a MF or NH. Neither would take it from him. Zetor would give him a trade in of €5000 against a new zetor. His tractor had only 1500 hours on it.

A far better investment would be to look at a 390 4wd, a second hand NH or a JD - plenty of them to be had at the moment.

Of course he did:D He's not going to admit it is he:D

Can't see the appeal really, quality, depreciation, prestige:rolleyes:, some make had a demo at a mart here earlier in the year, meh!

You'll get a minter of a 4wd 390 for that money if you wanted.

    Hi Guys,

Here is what I came across,

    1. Mostly European parts, Perkins, Bosch, ZF, Carrera, Mika.
    2. over 150 units sold in Ireland.
    3. Imported by Collins Farm Machinery.
    4. Won Tractor on the Year in 2011 in Germany.

    hope this helps!
