while it will probably take away all the hassle of dealing with potential buyers etc ... it will also make the problem of counting all the money that they might pay for it .. as you won't have as much to count !! the dealer will be looking for a very significent cut of any proceeds.

He'll want a commission on top of what he will charge for a warranty on the car should anything happen to it.

Unless you don't really like money sell it yourself.

Lets say you're car like yours is selling for 10k on a dealer forecourt, Private sale around 9k. Well the trade will give you 7k -7.5k for it. Here is the breakdown:

    7.5k cost

1k-1.5k recon costs + warranty cost

    1k profit

Thats the way it works when you trade in a car.

If you were trading it in, would get 7.5k off the very best straight cash deal on the car you were buying. Its swings and roundabouts.

I would imgaine a dealer (or the trade) would give you €2500 for it

You could sell it private for €3500?

How does that sound? depending on condition of course

well he s offering to put on forecourt to help me sell it
rather than offering price for it
the prices i see range from 6000 to 30000 on cbg
what about merlin car for cash prob get very little that way i suppose

I would be very wary of a garage wanting to sell it for you..Still you will probably get in or around that money for it.. Private is the only way to maximise the amount you will get for it.

    Huh:confused:

Those are wrong anyway...€3 ad on done deal and sell it yourself. Will be as easy tbh.
