I find after it has been raining for awhile and when it has stopped and brightened up is a good time for them.

They dont like to get wet as such so if it is raining they tend to stay underground.
This time of year and a few days of constant rain will have the mixo spreading like wildfire though.

during the winter when we would be lampingrabbits with lurchers the wetter and windyer the better they would be every were and go out on a dry nite and u would be lucky to see half of wat u would see on a wet nite. thats my experience with them anyway the only thing raibbits don t like is extreme heat or cold and no wind

Went out last night around 7ish till about 10:30 to land that is having problems with bunnies eating crops (farmer peed off). There were a few big lads about but as soon as they spot you there off. Had a bit of rain and found that it didn't bother them wet or dry. Got a few shots off and managed to get two with lamp going back in a few days as the farmer wants to try and get rid of as many as he can.

I hope ya put that one out of it's misery also. Mixy kills very cruely. It'd stop it spreading to others too

Mixy is a terrible way to go, had a mixy ram into a wall one day for 10 mins at the house until went out and dispatched it, terrible

Mixy is terrible allright. I always get a great sense of satisfaction when I shoot a rabbit with mixy.... I like to think it makes up for the others :)

Is it safe to eat a rabbit with Mixey? I was always told you shouldn't.
