    Hi

    Just wondering if an

Anyone on here has ever done Clonskeagh from Heuston Station? If so, how i.e. combination of Luas and/or Buses or cycle?

Where in Clonskeagh? Old HP building.

    Thanks - Ray

145 to Donnybrook Church and a short walk.

You could take the 145 directly from Heuston to Donnybrook Garage and walk up from there (10 minute walk).

The only reliable way to do this is by bike. There are a couple of bus / Luas combinations, like Luas to Abbey and an 11 from O'Connell St, or the 145 straight to Donnybrook and walk up from there, but either way is going to take an hour door to door in my experience.

Cycling takes under 25 mins and you have no waiting around.

    Thanks for all the replies.

145 from Heuston sounds like an option...that and cycling.

    Thanks again!

Did this commute for a couple of times and cycling wins hands down. Everything else takes too long.

Another vote for cycling. No waiting around and consistently the same journey time.

Hi, I am looking at the same journey. How has cylcling currently working out?

At the moment I have a ~5KM cycle from HEuston to where I work and looking at google maps its ~7KM from Heuston to Clonskeage Road / Beaver Row.

Would like to know how you find your cycle.

    Hi

Never did get to cycle that route - ended up with a job in Park West, which I cycle from time to time, else I get the train if too lazy :D

How long did this cycle take you? I know levels of fitness etc have to be taken into account.

I reckon 30 mins if you are unfit.

Takes me 25 mins apx going at a comfortable pace. Its 6.5km, have been able to do it in 20 when I had to.

Thanks guys, I'll start at 30 minutes relatively unfit and hopefully bump it up to 25 minutes after a couple weeks of 40 minutes cycle a day :)
