Website is gone down site 2pm, typical what did they expect would happen. They should be released at 5am that way it wouldn't be such a rush on the servers.

I failed 2 and a friend of mine said you can carry over a maximum of 2 failed subjects into the next academic year and complete them over the year, is that true? If so do you basically do an exam for it next summer instead of this summer? And how do you apply for that?

if you failed 2, then you pay 150 euro and repeat them in august.
if you fail them again in august, you can carry a maximum of 2 into the next year, and repeat them again at christmas/may next year.

That varies on the course and subject, so your course leader would need to give the final confirmation on that..

Can anyone tell me, what does "Overall Result year 2: Exemptions granted" Mean?

Were you exempt from any classes or exams this year?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 779 ✭✭✭Propane Nightmare

No definitely not! I was late submitting a vital part of the CA of one module but thats all I can think of close to that!

Sounds like you've passed to me then. Email either Denise or Conor from WITSU, or your School's office just in case if you want to double check.

Just contact your course leader for confirmation.

    Did you fail any exams?

OH did an Engineering degree part time and was supposed to get results Tuesday. They were not put up but a message to phone the Eng dept. Nobody answering the phone there but left a message but still no returned call and still no results up.

    Does anyone have any info?

Try ringing the examinations office in the morning with your query, they'll patch you through to the engineering office who don't seem to be answering external calls themselves  I got through that way :o

It means you failed at least one subject and have to repeat in autumn, the exemptions are given to the subjects you passed so you don't have to repeat them.
