In the 2001 model it's a space for a "Steering lock" button

Looking at a 206 today, (this guy: http://www.carzone.ie/search/Peugeot/206/1.4-GLX-/201122202649929/advert?channel=CARS) and noticed a little switch to the left of the passenger airbag disable switch. It's just a push button switch, doesn't have an on/off setting.

Anyone know what it does? Is it being there a good/bad sign?

The car is about €1,000 over-priced.

Don't believe any of that nonsense "RETAIL/TRADE IN PRICE €3950..STRAIGHT CASH PURCHASE PRICE NOW AVAILABLE"

No way on Earth is a nine year old car worth over €2,000.

Possibly overpriced...but its listed mileage (44k) is very low for a '02

If you're looking at that particular car it might be worth your while doing a quick search on boards for that dealer.

Searching threw up middling results, which I'd expect for any dealer.

They're not in SIMI, but I'd be getting my own mechanic to take a look regardless.

Very low mileage brings its own problems, too. If this cars mileage is genuine, then it's possible it was used only for short trips, with a distinct possibility it wasn't run at normal operating temperatures for extended times.

Not everything on a car wearing out is contingent on mileage.
