That makes some tempting buy, but whats within 'needs tlc'?
A machine like that could really hit the wallet hard :D
Nearly worth it though at that price :)

A Car like that for that price and the ads says

"Would suit person interested in this or mechanic"

would indicate to me something big wrong with her possibly gearbox or engine..... could be a money pit...

still, if u have the cash and dont mind the big bills that come with running a motor like this, tax, insurance, petrol, service costs, fuel etc... then if defo worth a trip to have a look

Looks like a nice car in a nice location parked in front of a new house.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has a clueless owner and some minor issues for someone with the correct skills

Is the arse way up in the air? My dad's W211 had similar suspension problems when he got it first.

    +1

I thought the same and there are plenty of issues with the suspension on these and the S-class of similar ages

It certainly looks like its sitting a bit beyond the rear tyres, so i would say yes.

I'd imagine a CL is NOT a car you want to be stuck administering TLC to!

    Don't do it. It's a false economy.

The pre-2003 CL models give loads of trouble as is. One that's advertised as needing TLC could easily double/triple it's purchase price trying to put it right.

Do a bit of googling and you'll find it all on the American forums.
