Who Does Guitar Respray

Hi Guys

Just putting this out there for a friend of mine who isint on Boards.ie .

Does anybody know of anyone anywhere in this country who specializes in guitar resprays or instrument resprays of any kind .
Its not something any old joe can take on themselves , a certain type of paint needs to be used and also a particular type of lacqure . Ya cant just whack it on with a roller this is for an old Bass and he wants a top job .

Does Derrick Nelson in Danvel do resprays ? ...

The paint-type isn't essential, same goes for the laquer. Tone-enthusiasts will tell you that nitrocellulose is better, but that's only because that's what they used in the 60's/70's. It's really not the hardest job in the world to do, just spend time reading up on it and planning it out and you'll be fine
