Windows 7 - Where's the Downloads folder??

I'm following a set of instructions which told me to download a zipped file and to use another programme to run the downloaded zip file.

When I try to navigate to my Downloads folder I can't find it nor the zipped file.

    Any thoughts??

It'll be in Downloads or Documents/Downloads depending on which browser/software you used to download the zip file.

Which browser are you using ?

    In Firefox it's Tools, Downloads
    or just Ctrl-shift-Y

In IE , I usually just start another download and then open the folder from that window

    It's under
    C:\Users\yourprofilename?\Downloads

Or if you open up My Documents, then look to your top left, under Favourites.
