P3 home study?

Just curious as to peoples opinions of taking this as home study? What is the subject like to learn and also what's the exam itself like?

I've already decided to sit 3 papers (F7, F9 & P1) in December and I'm considering taking this too. However, I'm slightly concerned I might be taking on a bit too much....

Any and all opinions greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Ian.

    I'm doing four exams this session - F4, F6, F8 and P2
Right now I'm regretting it - I've 3 in a row this week (1 down this morning) and then next Tuesday.

But I'll probably be delighted to have done it come August.

It's a lot of work and both F7 and F9 are pretty big subjects, the advantage is that they are primarily numerical which in my opinion is easier to study for than theoretical papers.

I just had a look at the timetable there and I'd have 3 papers in a row if I was to take on P3, and I know from experience that that's tough going. Even two on the bounce can knock the shtuffing out of you.

I gather that P1 isn't the toughest though, and I've already had tuition for F7 so it mightn't be too bad if (big if) I was well prepared come December.

Also, I think I might be better suited to theory based papers - is that what P3 is?

Best of luck with the rest of your exams by the way.

I did P1 and P3 together at home and they were grand, P1 is b*ll****, just learn the exam papers same thing comes up every year more or less, maybe have a look at P3 and see if you need to maybe do a revision course. I liked it, but prob not everyones cup of tea.. good luck everyone for the exams
