Hi, I'm looking at some single/dual channel mic preamps. Does anyone have any recommendations for a budget of around 600 Euro? Do tube preamps in that price range really make much of a difference?
I'm thinking about the Focusrite ISA One but I probably would prefer if it had 2 mic inputs for stereo recordings. The Aphex 207D also looks good but a bit pricey.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.....

You should look at the audient range of pre amps. I've used and own a lot of great pres API, NEVE, Summit, Millennia etc .... The Audient punch welll above their weight and they're a great example of getting great quality at an reasonable price.

We supply the Audient range - The Mico is a fantastic box that sounds way better than it's price would suggest. It has the same pres as their well respected console.

I bought a Dav BG1 recently. Nice pre for the price.

Thanks for the replies. I'm tempted by the Audient Mico, it doesn't seem to have variable impedence though. The Summit Audio 2BA-221 is also an option, but again only has 1 mic input. Decisions, decisions......

Interesting, I might just be back to you on this. What kind of money were you thinking of selling it for anyway?
