Alfa 147 problems.....

    My 147 is an 03 and I'm due a change at this stage....but in teh emantime..
    The engine management unit is recording a fault and cuts teh engine out when she heats up....I have to sit for about 20mins + until it will start again...

    I've googled this and it appears to be a cam sensor issue....
    Anyone here have any knowledge / experience of this?

    Also she sounds like a jet engine for ages now......aux belt tensioner I believe ??

    The cutting out is the crank sensor. Not a big expense to have changed. Not sure about the other noise...
