Kia UK warranty in Ireland

Hi All,
thinking of buying a Kia from the UK and wondering if the remaining warranty can be used here (eg 2008 kia with 4 years warranty remaining).
Will Irish Kia dealerships honour this UK warranty?

I imagine it'd be up to Kai UK to decide if their warranty is valid outside the UK, they're the one's paying for any claims. If a garage here knows he's going to get paid full costs by Kia UK without too much hassle then I can't see why they wouldn't do the work.

Think you'd need to ask an Irish Kia garage that question, they generally do not like the idea of imports !;) Probably obliged to honour the warranty but may not invite that kind of work.:o

"The Kia 7 year warranty is valid in all EEA (European Economic Area) countries except for Bulgaria and Romania."

From what i can work out only the C'eed has the 7 year warranty if older than 2010.

I reckon I am after a Kia next... the Venga looks like a useful family car.. the warranty is the seal on the deal though.
