Underwear question

Hi Just looking for some advice. I have bought a new white dress for the summer and I was wearing it yesterday and I noticed that my underwear was visible through it. I was just wondering what I should do to avoid it. Is a thong the only way?

I'd say a thong/g-string, or you could go commando. I would think a thong/g-string would still be visible, though I could be wrong.

Is it possible for you to get the dress or skirt of the dress lined on the inside? If there was a lining your underwear wouldn't be as visible, you may still have VPL (visible panty line) if you wore anything other than thongs/g-strings.

To be honest, I think most white dresses are see through to some extent, any white dresses I've found have been see through, I reckon it'd be hard to find one that isn't.

I find flesh toned underwear is the best thing to wear under white clothes. It is pretty much invisible.

You could try a nude slip? I always find white underwear shows out through white so generally try nude.

Try flesh/nude colour underwear under the dress or if you're comfortable you could wear a thong/g-string.

Thanks for all your advice. I will buy a thong and some nude coloured underwear. Will see which works better

Sometimes I've found very pale pink underwear works better than nude coloured. Depends on the material, but worth trying both to see which works better.

Pennys have a great range of nude slips, some are strapless to go under maxi dresses, take a look in there if your near a branch, also thong is the only way to go no matter what you wear :)

Thanks for all your help. I tried the flesh coloured underwear but the line of the underwear was still showing through, so I decided to go with a thong. I wasn't a fan of thongs before but it doesn't show through the dress and it's more comfortable than my previous experience. I wore a g string once before under a dress for a wedding and I found it very uncomfortable. But this thong is great. Thanks for your advice.

I usually wear a slip with white dresses. Instead of knickers maybe try shorts. You can get seemless ones that don't show through clothes. They are more comfortable than thongs anyway!

I have a calvin klein nude thong got it up in kildare village. Its paper thin and has no seems what so ever so its perfect for under white or clingy clothes. If you are buying a nude one just make sure its got no seams and is nice and thin as other wise you will see the shape if you get me
