4OD Channel4 player not working in ireland again?

    Anybody else get the error when trying to play a video saying 4od is blocked here again?

    It was blocked for a while about a year ago but that got reversed. No info round the web about it, just making sure it's not just me...

    Im having a problem with 4od too. I can watch most programs on it, but just noticed im having a problem watching "The pipe" on it. Other programs seem fine though.

    Some US programmes for which Channel 4 don't have the Irish rights don't work. Most programmes commissioned by Channel 4 should work, however.

    That might be it, but the pipe is an irish documentary. Typical that we would block rights to it :) Maybe rte plan on playing it soon or something either.

    Or TG4. Their logo appears at the start of it.

    I think the problem is with programmes which haven't been shown on Channel 4 itself, but on E4 or More4. It looks like Irish viewers can only access Channel 4 programmes on OD. "The Pipe" was only shown on More4. If Channel 4 ever show it, then it should be available for us to watch here on OD (I think!)

    Many E4 shows are available to Irish users, such as How I Met Your Mother, 90210, Misfits, Skins, etc. But there are a number of US shows we can't access Smallvile and (I think) The Big Bang Theory. It all depends on the rights they obtain.
