well at first it would fire and the it stoped cos the fuse bloo so I replaced and when I pulled the trigger there wasnt even a move out of it and I have replaced the fuse and tried three different batteries (different Voltage and mah) and still the fuse would go so I thought it was shorting along the wiring and was advised it could have been due to the potmetal and or plastic internals so was advised to replace these bits and did so today and found no obviouse fault in the lines and also the spring guide w

no motor works fine when I bypass the fuse everythink works

sounds like your motor is straining to turn the gears, overheating and burning your fuse, you can A: bypass the fuse and hope your wiring doesn't melt (not the best plan) or you can B: re-shim your gears to be sure they are turning properly or C: (most likely IMHO) check the air nozzle at the front was not drilled to downgrade it, if it was you will need to replace the spring with a lower power one and replace the drilled part, or D: horse in a high torque motor and a lipo.
    Hope i helped a bit.

open it up again and check the shimming. when your shimming screw the box together after EACH gear and check it moves freely.screwing it together makes a BIG differance on how tight the gears get.
and dont shim the spur and sector gear too close together because again when you screw the box together it could squeeze them tight together and make it difficult for them to rotate. this could lead to your fuse blowing as the wires heat up as your motor is pulling a lot of power from your battery. and then when you bypass it, it drains a lot from your battery, makes the wires heat up something crazy, but can turn the motor/gears coz theres no fuse to protect from overheating where then youll run into another list of problems

it was shimmed verry tite infact I had to remove some of the shimms and I made sure that they could spin freely and they did and even at that it needs a new spring guide as one of the tabs that sits into the gearbox snape clean off in a way that looks like something was pulling it forward

oh and it has a high torque still no budge but it also has plastic bearings and the metal ones I have dont fit I just think it needs an overhaul :)

check your motor for this. if you look through the back of the motor(where the brushes are) you should see it.its where the brushes transfer the power to the motor. if it happened the loose part might be stuck down in the motor stopping it from turning, solution, new motor

its clear that something is stopping the gears from turning over, (obviously says ur man ), try getting a lend of a motor of one of your mates and try it in the gun, failing that replace the gears, failing that check that the piston moves freely in the gear box, do this without the spring in it.

is it a version 2 box?

i have a CA stock spring guide, if your badly stuck u can have it.

if all else fails would u be interested in posting it to me, or will u be in dublin in the near future, i would be happy to have a gander at it for u for a small price.

Make sure there is no debris in the gearbox, anywhere. Clean the gears of grease and the shell. Shim it properly, plenty of guides can be found around the internet. Grease it with teflon or white lithium grease (not too heavily).
Check the pistons movement on the rails and and lightly grease the rails.

Assemble, manually turn over gearbox, to check everything. Completely reassemble the gun and check the motor height, too high will cause it to lock up and blow a fuse, too low - you'll know about it..

If it still locks up, check the motor against a different one, infact do that first, just incase.
