    Hi All,

I've a new job that will require a lot of travel. I am considering a Strobel Rambler guitar as an ideal guitar to take along with me. Does anyone have any experience with them or would recommend a similar style guitar?

    thanks

By coincidence I was just looking at the Rambler classic myself for the same reason - it seems to get really good comments. I would be interested in buying one also if you know how to source one of these as they don't seem to be available through retail channels.

    You have to buy them
Direct from manufacturer I think. Or else probably ask your local shop to get one for you. I would prede though to be able to play one before I buy it. I asked them about how it feels and this is the reply I got ( I play a strat):

Thank you for your inquiry. *The Rambler Classic has a 12" radius neck. The
width at the nut is 1.64" and 2.04" at the 12th fret. *The neck has a thin
profile, being .842" thick at the first fret and .934" thick at the 12th.
The scale length is 24-1/2", a little shorter than a regular Strat, but
still full size fretboard. *You should be comfortable playing the Rambler,
it has great tone, feel and playability.

Looking forward to your order should you decide to go with us.

    Best Regards,
    Russ

    Thank you :)

The only reason I'm leaning towards the Rambler is that it comes apart easily. Have you had problems taking your Speedster on a plane as carry on? If I could be sure I'd awlays get it on as carry on I'd go for the Speedster.

No, no problems to date although it often causes some interest at the security scanners. Its done about 5 trips now mostly to France.
I saw the Play Away guys now have a new folding guitar too and you can put your laptop in the bag with it. Its a Voyage Air and that could be another idea. Peter.
