Getting Freesat

I am considering getting FreeSat, just a few Q's I was thinking of getting Sagem DTR94500S 500Gb box ..Opinions on this box? I assume I will get all these channels http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_channels_on_Freesat ? For the RTE ones I guess ill have to use Saorview (I have a receiver in the TV for it) I am assuming…

I am considering getting FreeSat, just a few Q's

I was thinking of getting Sagem DTR94500S 500Gb box ..Opinions on this box?

I assume I will get all these channels http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_channels_on_Freesat ?

For the RTE ones I guess ill have to use Saorview (I have a receiver in the TV for it) I am assuming there is no way of getting a free sat box recording these channels too? Will the RTE channels be on Freesat any time soon.

Also is there anything else I need to know?

Yes, you'll get those channels on wikipedia, also see www.freesat.co.uk

Where are you planning to buy it and at what price?

Had a Sagem, decent box but I swapped it for a Humax which I'm much happier with.

Get 2 of new Ferguson Ariva 120 boxes ?? Then you have your recording covered as well with the 2 boxes, 1 for each room that combine both Saorview and Sat stations in one list. You just connect a standalone HDD to it. It will playback on either and allows recording of both DTT and Sat. They play MKV/AVis off the drive too.

do samsung freesat tvs include,,non freesat timer and diseqc iv heard this is needed but dont know wot they are.
