    Hey Guys

Got a problem with my Navara, bad smell of eggs coming from the heater vents, doesn't happen with the air con switched on,
when i start the engine the smell starts but while the jeep is moving everything is fine it's only when i come to a stop the smell is back, i checked under the bonnet a few times when i got the smell but couldn't find anything, it's like the smell you get from an overcharged battery,

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Start with changing the pollen filter I recon.

There's also stuff you can get to spray into the intake that disinfects the ducts.

    How old is the battery?

its from the aircon ,you can get a spray that you spray in the car and put the aircon on recirculate, bacteria have grown from the damp in your aircon system esp if you did not use the system much during the winter ,then when the weather warms up the smell develops, to really sort it it is recommended that you get the system cleaned and serviced but this can be expensive

    Anyone have any tips for using this aircon cleaner, Bardahl Aircon Foam Cleaner? I picked it up this morning in Motor Factors and the only instructions online for it are in Dutch, the english version doesn't seem to be working, here's what google translate said when I copied the instructions;

During cleaning, all doors and windows of the vehicle open to
proper ventilation. Inhale the fumes while cleaning not released.
    1. Remove all filters and other filter pollen out of the pipes.
    2. Turn on manual systems to NORMAL (normal) and FRESH AIR (fresh
air). Set up automatic systems VENT (ventilation) and COLD (cold).
    3. Turn the fan on high. Spray the cleaner air
for 5 to 10 using the included extension tube into the inlet
for fresh air. Usually located in the engine compartment.
Allow the system to run 5 minutes.
    4. Switch the system to REGULATE (circulation). Spray the cleaner air
for about 5 to 10 seconds in the circulation inlet. This inlet
is usually in the leg room for passengers. If more
than one inlet, you will need equal amounts in each inlet to spray. Hold
a piece of paper towel under the inlet to remove any excess
air cleaner that can flow from the inlet, to absorb. Let
    about 1 minute to circulate.
    5. Set the temperature on high and spray again for 5 to 10
detergent in the second circulatie-inlaat/inlaten. Allow the system 2
minutes and then turn it off afterwards.
    6. Spray small amounts of cleaning pipes in the floor and all
other lines in the vehicle. Put the system back to NORMAL and
FRESH AIR (in manual systems) or VENT and COLD (for automatic
systems) and let it run about 2 minutes. Turn the system off.
    7. Leave the doors and windows of the car 10 minutes open. After this,
car no longer smell the detergent. If this is the case, let
the system running again 5 minutes on the stand and FRESH NORMAL
Or COLD AIR VENT and. Leave the doors and windows of the car again

Do I spray this into the air vents inside the car?

EDIT: Thanks for all the help...cough!....cough!:P I got the problem solved with the cleaner anyway!
