    Hi,

Just wondering has anyone taken the 2 weeks holidays while claiming the dole. What way does it work with collecting payment when you get back, is it just there like usual on the next friday or is it arranged for the day you arrive back or what happens? And i think ill be away for my next signing day, so will that just be arranged for a different date?

    Any info would be great

    Thanks

You have to go in and tell them the dates you will be away and go in again when you get back. Payment is stopped while you are away but will be paid when you let them know you're home.

If you intend going on holidays abroad, you should inform the Local Office two weeks in advance of your departure and complete form UP 30. All holiday payments will be made retrospectively when you return. If you go on holiday for longer than two weeks, you may be paid in respect of the first two weeks, but will not receive payment for any period abroad in excess of this.
The qualified adult of a person in receipt of Jobseeker's Benefit may take up to two weeks' foreign holiday. A disqualification in respect of the increase for a qualified adult will be imposed in respect of any period in excess of 2 weeks. It is not necessary to complete a UP30 in respect of a qualified adult.

You may be excused from signing or you may be asked to produce yourself at your local SW office when you come back from holidays for your payment to be released.
