Malaria Tablets SE Aisa

Having read previous posts on malaria tablets I have decided to go with malarone for my 6 week trip SE Asia. With that in mind I have a few questions

I have got a prescription from the GP for malarone but I am wondering whether it is cheaper to buy them when I get to Bangkok rather than a chemist here?

I would consider going somewhere reputable like Boots or Tesco to ensure I get the real thing. Can you just buy them over the counter there or do you need to get a prescription as in Ireland?

    Any thoughts

You cant buy malarone in Asia you will have to get them here before you go
Also Im just going to presume that even though your in Asia for 6 weeks you will be in malaria zones for less than that time? So if you have about a month of malaria tablets get them under the drug payment scheme so you will pay max 120 euro. Its still a lot of money though

I bought Larium over the chemist counter in Hong Kong, no prescription required and very cheap
