Starting brand new iphone 4 without original network sim

    Hi,

    As above have a brand new iphone 4 locked to 3 ireland looking to start it up wont let me though

    The sim card in this i phone does not appear to be supported is there any way around this?

    go to settings then general then about, scroll down and see what modem version it has and post it here

    I have an error

    "The sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported"

    I cannot get it to find the software etc the phone has never been switched on before

    Obviously it's locked to 3.

    Ask 3 ( ie pay them) to unlock it

    activate it using a 3 sim but dont update or anything in itunes then check

    ya could try greenpois0n, it will hacktivate it but i'm not sure if it works on the latest firmware

    Get the phone unlocked or port your number over to three

    Get a 3 micro sim to activate

    Or any 3,sim and cut it to fit.
