Indicator not cancelling on an Astra

2007 Astra Club, the left side indicator has stopped cancelling when the steering wheel is straightened after the turn (can still cancel manually), the right side still cancels as usual. Haines Manual didn't have anything to say, that I could find? Is this something I might be able to sort myself, or will I just wait until…

2007 Astra Club, the left side indicator has stopped cancelling when the steering wheel is straightened after the turn (can still cancel manually), the right side still cancels as usual.

Haines Manual didn't have anything to say, that I could find? Is this something I might be able to sort myself, or will I just wait until the car needs to be serviced in the next few weeks?

The steering angle sensor may need to be reprogrammed.
