Not at all. It's not even the best game in the series. AC:2 is better in my opinion.

But they are great games, don't get me wrong. Just not the best ever

assasins creed 3 is a gud game both id think 2 or the first ones are better the 3rd 1 is kinda the same as the 2nd i dunno either way thers a gud storyline in the assasins creed games hopefully the next one willl be better than the 3rd

The Assassin's Creed games are good, even the first one had moments of brilliance, but they are nowhere near the greatest games ever made.

Nor for that matter is that thing called COD, a truly horrible experience from a shamelessly greedy publisher.

I would have to disagree.

In terms of story I would say Braid or Shadow of the Colossus are the best hands down. They are actually original and their stories are not just re-hashes of sci-fi or fantasy clichés detached from the gameplay, their stories ARE THE GAMEPLAY. The gameplay and the stories are interwoven to such an extent that neither makes sense without the other. IMO they offer a glimpse at what the medium can achieve once it detaches itself from films and books.

In terms of pure gameplay I would have to say Supreme Commander FA is my favorite. Every battle is so epic you find hard to go back to conventional RTS titles. HOLY **** I JUST BUILT A BOMBER 1KM LONG THAT DROPS A BOMB THAT ENGULFS ISLANDS. The supply+demand freeflow economy was mentally stimulating and made the usual tedious macro mechanics of titles such as starcraft and C&C seem so dated. Pity they neutered the game with the sequel.

ACB is way too the same to AC2, why didnt they make it in the Victionarn times or World War 1 era

Because AC:B is just AC2.1. The new game is probably going to be a similar inbetweenquel. An AC3, will probably be in a different era with a different character. It may even just be about Desmond.

So if I were to start on this series, unsure whether I'd get through all three games, should I play the first two first or go straight for this one?

My favourite game ever is Metal Gear Solid 3, btw.

Start with 1st one, definitely.

The first one has horrible repetitive segments before each assassination. You have to gather intel on your target by eavesdropping, pickpocketing, etc. These are awful and are repeated for every mission.

The assassinations themselves are great set pieces tho.

Assassins Creed Brotherhood: Has way more to do but is too easy to complete and kill.Has great story line but has a few some silly costumes.Overall 8/10.

Assassins Creed II:Has a good storeyline but is again quite easy to complete and with less to do.It does have some great graphics and locations though.Overall 7/10.

Assassins Creed I: Also has a brilliant storyline with a great main character,Altair. Can get very very frustrating as is quite repedative and character can't do some simple actions (Eg.swim). Overall 7/10.

Overall it is a truly brilliant series well worth the play!!!:D

Persona 4 is amazing. Don't be knocking it. Would be up there with my best games.

Anyway Assassin's Creed Brotherhood won't be getting to the top of any best game ever lists as long as Super Metroid exists :P

I thought AC2 was better than Brotherhood, much better story and engaged me more. Plus I platinumed it

Best game? No. Hard to say really I still think Uncharted 2 is the best PS3 game so far overall.

Far from it. It's enjoyable enough, but in fairness the controls are fairly shocking, particularly if you need any sort of urgency while free running. For this reason I think the race missions you do with the thieves are most likely a sadistic joke on the part of the developers.

AC2 was fine on PS3 so I don't get why this is so horrible to play

Come on - everyone knows COD online sucks. Battlefield is a better online game. I've played both; have you?

The plot in half life 1 and 2 is better than ass creed..:D

Gears Of War 1 & 2 for their online Co-op and Horde mode, Uncharted 2 for single player story and immersion, not much of a competitive online player but Black Ops had me for a while there! Scratch that, Battlefield Modern Combat on the 360 back in 2006 (I think) was savage online!

Uncharted 2 is a great game alright, but I finished it in 2 days and, because the multiplayer is crap, I had no other reason to go back to it, good thing I had only borrowed it from my brother!
