Jim Carrey has said he is considering staring in sequels to Dumb and Dumber and Bruce Almighty.
Jim Carrey has said that he is considering returning to some of his most popular roles in a number of new projects.

While promoting his new film Mr Popper's Penguins, Carrey confirmed that he would definitely be interested in starring in sequels to his 1994 breakout comedy Dumb and Dumber, as well as the 2003 hit Bruce Almighty.

"We're talking about maybe returning to some old characters that everyone has been asking about," Carey revealed to Coming Soon. "There's Bruce Almighty and we're talking about maybe another Dumb and Dumber."

I'm quite surprised to see this, as he said he'd never do sequels after Ace Venturer. A bit of me would love to see him star in the sequels as they were both great films. But a bigger part of me thinks it's best to leave them as they are.

No, he asked was Evan Almighty a sequel to Bruce Almighty. It was. What has Jim Carrey being in it got to do with it being a sequel?

Let's just leave it at this. Both Bruce Almighty and Dumb and Dumber had sequels. Both were bad, one reason being Carrey wasn't in either.

I don't know, what does Jim Carrey being in it have to do with it being a sequel?

As much as I love Dumb and Dumber, this is pretty much a non story.

You asked was Carrey in it as a direct question to him asking if it was a sequel. We're asking you, silly. :)

This would be a remarkable turnaround. Does it mean he's over his manic-depression?

I loved Bruce Almighty. I thought it was his best comedy in recent years. Anything that followed was terrible (with the exception of Eternal Sunshine of course). Would love to see him take on more serious roles though. The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine and (dare I say) The Number 23 proved he could give a great performance in more dramatic roles.

This is great news and I am assuming the Farrley brothers are on board so should be a decent watch.

He was also good in "I Love you Philip Morris" .

Yeah, but Carrey wasn't in them, so I suppose a lot of people didn't consider them to be real sequels. I never bothered with either of them.

+1 on the taking on more serious roles, I thought he was amazing in Man On The Moon one of my favourite films of his and hugely underrated, before watching it I didnt know anything about the film withing 30 seconds I knew exactly who it was about he was that good at protraying Andy Kauffman.

Wouldnt be big on seeing a Bruce Almighty sequel didnt think it was great, but Dum and Dumber id love to see a sequel to that think it would be great to see it, as long as you get im Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels to both sign up.

I misread this and thought you were saying Dumb & Dumber was bad.
For 3 seconds, I was more angry then I've ever been after reading something on the internet.
