Silvercrest radio error 04

Put one of them silvercrest radios/cd players in the car a few months ago. was working fine, had the same cd in it for about 4 or 5 weeks, then one day it decided not to work, saying error 04 after it tries to read the cd for a while.

I presume the radio would work as I can hear white noise when it goes to fm, (don't have the aerial connector so don't have a radio either :P)

    Anyone experienced this before?

Tried taking it out and cleaning it but no good.

It says in the book that error 04 means the cd was put in upside down but it was definitely not that.

Did try your CD in another player & try another CD in the car? Which one works?

There's a 3 year warranty with the silvercrest.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

Sound's like the player is broken so, but just to be sure try the CD in another player/computer and see what happens.
As a short term solution you can put your music on a USB key which plugs into the radio. I don't know what model you have but most of them have a USB port.

Ye, Silvercrest is Lidl, Tevion is Aldi. I've found both ok when it comes to replacing stuff.
