Hi. I've never got a laptop before so I have no idea where to start. Not from Currys or PC world. Will be used for web browsing. One that loads everything quickly. Fast boot time and applications open fast. Asus preferably.

I would recommend Dell with extended warranty, in my experience most PC shops give the run around when it comes to the warranty, Dell have so far proven reliable.

If you can get your workplace to buy it for you that way you will have an account manager who can quickly resolve any issue.

What is Elara like? I searched the forums so don't tell me that. I am looking for an Asus laptop from there. If the laptop had a fault how quickly and easy would getting it fixed be?

The warranties are generally with the manufacturer.

Some extended warranty offers on Lenovo laptops on Elara.

Take a look at this laptop

    http://www.elara.ie/productdetail.aspx?productcode=MMES600VN3

The offer is 100 cashback with 3 Year Next Business Day:

I have never had any trouble with Elara find them great to deal with.

If your not happy with the Spec what is your budget.

I've had a lot of issues with laptops bought from Dell, but they have always repaired them without any major issues.

My OH got her laptop in Aldi with a three year warranty included in the price.

Any problems she's had they've couriered it to and from the house and repaired it no problem. I was really surprised with how great they are, coz you wouldn't think Aldi for a laptop like!

I got mine from a fancy computer shop, and quite frankly, it's been nothing but a pain in the hole and cost me so much in repairs in the last three years.
