Can anyone advise on how to purchase prescription glasses online

What info do you need to get from your optician?

Do you need to check out frames in store and then order by model number or what?

    Thanks

all you need is your prescription from your optician. you can pick them out from the picture on the website.
be careful though, i got some and they looked very different to the picture, they did not fit properly and the vision was not good due to pupillary distance issues.

    Thats why Im asking

How do I make sure there are no pupillary distance issues?

    and

How do I make sure they are the correct size without trying them on?

Most sites will give instructions on how to measure your PD and there are simple tips to make sure the glasses are the right size. Best one is to use the measurements from your previous pair. If the writing is worn away you can easily measure your frames using a ruler. Now the biggest problem with websites is you cannot be certain that the glasses will be the correct but most sites offer a money back guarantee if your not happy.

I go find the glasses that I want then find a website that has them in stock, this time I found the glasses and asked buynewspecs.ie for a quote.
Got full prescription including pupillary distance from my local optician. I have a slightly complicated prescription so my pd has to be 100% accurate.
