not an expert but i bought a toshiba just before xmas, think we paid around €400 and its brilliant. Has windows 7 etc but had to put office on ourselves. Came with a free 12 month warranty, it nice and light and easy to use. husband got it in pc world. the guy in the shop was trying to push a packard bell model but hubbie said the toshiba was flying off the shelves.

thats samsung looks good too mind you, i'd say if your getting a good deal on it go for it.
