So, I installed CoD4 off the dvd disk I bought, and it worked fine, online and off, but I decided to try update it to 1.7, so then it won't start CoD4, Saying iw3mp.exe has stopped working.
I fixed that, and I went to play online, clicked refresh on the server list, and nothing came up. No servers at all!
So I un-installed the gaming using crapcleaner, and went to re-install it agian via the DVD. but when I open the dvd, it has an option to play SP, MP or uninstall.
The game has been completly removed from my hard drive, I've deleted the folder it was in and everything, but it's still showing the same options.

Can anyone help me FULLY uninstall CoD4 - Assuming it isn't already
and after that, can someone help with the 1.7 patch not showing any servers to join.

Just uninstall the game in add/remove programs and uninstall COD4 from there. Reinstall it and download the patches. You're probably not getting any servers up because your ports aren't forwarded. You might need to go to your router settings and port forward 28960-30000

Hello Cherry, Im having trouble conecting to a private match ( keeps loosing connection to host ) When I go into my router ( netopia motorola ) settings>>> custom services>>> Define custom services >>> port forwarding range of ports>>> The next screen has options which are all blank or 0.

Should I change these settings ie.... (Service name = ) Global port range= ) Base host port= ) protocol TCP is ticked and UDP in unticked?
