upc digital+ box problems after downgrade

    Hi folks, rang UPC tonight and downgraded my package (to remove sky sports while prem league is on summer break), but upgraded the initial package to get a few extra channels, and paid €10 for the privilege (of the downgrade)!!!

    Thats not all....the signal switched off, like I was told (it would take a few mins) and I would have to reboot the box and the package would be changed. Sounds easy so far, yeah. Thats what you would think. We've lost the signal in the recorder box (access denied is all that comes up apart from rte1), but the normal box in the bedroom works perfectly with the changed package sorted.

    Rang UPC and spoke to customer service and after numerous switch off unplug, reboots we were finally told they could send a technician out on THURSDAY (its friday now). I know its a bank holiday but for f**** sake you'd think they'd try and sort it quicker than that. So they want me to take a day off work and wait for their technician who will arrive between 9am and 6pm, thats a 9 hour window!!!!!!!

    When I told the guy I was talking to I was thinking of switching back to SKY he said the offices would re-open on tuesday at 9am so I could ring them and request a termination....so they don't even want to keep their existing customers!!!!!!!!!

    I was told this sometimes happens the digital+ box with a downgrade of your package....has anyone else had this problem???

    So annoying

    Its funny how when u want to downgrade somthing with UPC theres a problem but if u were to upgrade somthing it would work perfectly.
