Question for Hairdressers and Stylists

I want to change my hair colour to pure white, possibly with maybe light blue streaks. I'm not fond of the idea of bleaching it over and over until all the colour runs out of it, that can ruin your scalp. If anyone is a hairdresser and would know a thing or two about cyeing hair etc, I'd gladly appreciate any advice you have.

    Cheers

unfortunatley the only way to get ur hair pure white would be to use a high lift prelightner (bleach) depending on the colour of your hair iy would have to be re applied quite a few times. This is very damaging on ur hair!
also if you wanted blue streaks u would have to be prepared to wash the blue parts seperatly to the rest of your hair as the blue would run into your hair, unless ur hair is very short i realy wouldnt reccomend bleaching it so much!

Well I've seen videos on youtube of people explaining how they done it and what they used. It looks ok to me, but I don't know anything about it. I'd need someone who knows what they're doing to do it for me.

I'd have to bleach it a few times as I've now heard and seen, ok, but any hairdresser you go to tell you it's impossible - which it clearly isn't - and that they can get it yellow but not white. Not to mention they'd probably charge a fortune to not even get it right!

its not impossible.. the reason hairdressers wont do it because its so damaging on your hair. one of the girls in my salon went from brown to white blonde.. it involved 2 deep cleanses and 3 applications of on scalp bleach.. resulting in extremelly sore scalp and very damaged hair!! it was white blonde but her hair is short.. never in a million years would we do that to a client!

I'm sure there has to be a way of doing it without doing serious damage, there must be a way to minimise the damage so it's very little. 1 of my friends said her friend done it before with little to no damage, just her hair was a little coarse for a few days, then went back to normal. But she got the result she wanted. Bleach will damage your hair but surely there's a way to do it safely?
